We waited a long time to see if the situation would turn in our favour, but unfortunately there are still too many uncertainties with regard to playing baseball games in The Netherlands in July. Therefore, we have decided to cancel this year’s Haarlem International U16 Baseball Tournament that would have taken place July 26 - 31.
At this moment traveling from Sweden, UK, USA and Japan to the Netherlands is still not permitted and it is uncertain whether or not it will be the case in July. Furthermore, baseball competitions are not permitted yet either in the Netherlands and travel within the Netherlands in still discouraged.
We feel bad to have to take this decision, but we feel it is the right decision to take, considering the health of players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and spectators.
Let’s look forward to 2021 when we will regroup to organise the 3rd Haarlem International U16 Baseball Tournament. We hope you will join us then.
