Japan wins!!!

Japan wins 2nd Annual Haarlem U16 Baseball Tournament

Japan showed us today what they are known for. Their bunting game. Through bunting and putting pressure on the opponent, Japan managed to get ahead in the championship game against Holland Black, At some point in the game Japan bunted three times in a row and Holland Black did not have an answer. Later in the game Holland Black came back into the game and was able to narrow the gap to two runs. And that is where it stayed. Japan won the 2nd Haarlem U16 International Tournament.

Holland Orange beat New England Wolfpac in the 3rd place game. Other results of today's games can be found here. Fortunately all games could be played today, this morning it looked like it might not be the case, Only the award ceremony was interrupted for a little while because of the rain. Individual awards of the tournament went to: Syo Kitai (MVP), Dorian Lippens (Best Hitter), Marijn Oor (Best Pitcher).

We can look back on a great week of baseball again en we thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope you did too. See you next year.
