When I look at the deserted field I think back at the wonderful week we had for the first U16 Haarlem International Baseball Tournament. And what a success it was. 7 teams battled for the first ever win in this tournament and boy did we see some surprises.
We are a week down the road now and good memories emerge and go. What a wonderful time did the teams have and what a great games were played. Teams struggling in the poule phase resurrected in elimination play, which threw the final standings totally upside down.
We were blessed with the beautiful weather but most of all by the enthusiasm of the players, parents, umpires, volunteers and our sponsors.
These thoughts make me want to look forward to next year.... Will there be another tournament? Who knows? Just to be sure I started to set up this website, in order to be prepared....
The field is deserted now, but next summer there might be teams playing again. Can you see it too?
